Projects and Committees
2014-present - Toetsdeskundige. Colleagues are welcome to direct any questions they might have about assessment and course aims to me or my fellow 'toetsdeskundigen' - Willem Pool and Peter Eversmann.
2014-present - Chair of Alumni Committee. For more information, please click here.
2013-2014 - Chair of Assessment Committee. Tara MacDonald and I investigated and advised on assessment methods in the English BA programme.
2012-13 - Toetsingsproject. In collaboration with Anne Bannink, Manon v. d. Laaken, Nynke Bos and Katja Bobyleva, I wrote a report on assessment methods in the English BA programme.
I am currently working on a research proposal about recent autobiographical accounts of grief by authors like Joan Didion, Julian Barnes, C.S. Lewis and Joyce Carol Oates. Beyond that, I am interested in the contemporary (American) novel, modernism, postmodernism, and writers from the interwar period.
I have been a freelance translator since 2012. I do scientific, academic and literary translations and editing work for both individuals and companies such as the University of Leiden, the UvA, TU Eindhoven, TU Delft and TNO.
