Jacqueline van Breemen is a PhD candidate at the AISSR (Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research). She holds a Bachelor in Social Psychology (University of Tilburg) and a Research Master's degree in Social Sciences (Social and Economic psychology, University of Tilburg).

Her three-year PhD research project  “Changing Institutions: An Experimental Contribution”  focuses on the mechanisms that enable individuals within organizations to change institutions (for instance the rules and norms regarding gender and age). Given her theoretical and practical background in social and economic psychology she uses laboratory experiments to study mechanisms such as trust, reciprocity and emotions

Institutions, social interaction and coordination, social influence.

Prof. dr. Matthijs Kalmijn and dr. Klarita Gërxhani

 

This PhD research is funded by an ASPASIA grant awarded to dr. K. Gërxhani and part of the “Changing institutions: An experimental study of micro-level mechanisms” project.
