Rosanne Baars is a PhD candidate in the early modern history department. She is working on a project entitled: ‘Transnational news networks and public issues in France and the Netherlands during the Wars of Religion and the Dutch Revolt, 1559-1598’. This project explores the multiple ways in which news from France impacted public debates in the Netherlands, and vice versa. Her research is funded by the programme 'Promoties in the Geesteswetenschappen' of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
