I am an Assistant Professor in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. My current project Boundaries of Solidarity, funded by an NWO-Veni Grant, analyses people's readiness to redistribute across borders using laboratory experiments and opinion surveys. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Nuffield College at the University of Oxford. I obtained my PhD from the European University Institute, Florence, in 2011. My PhD thesis was awarded EUI's Linz-Rokkan prize for the best dissertation in political sociology, and the THESEUS award for promising research on European integration.
My book Experiencing European Integration. Transnational Lives and European Identity will be published by Oxford University Press in 2015. My other research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics and Journal of European Public Policy.
