Emma Irving joined ACIL in in July 2012 as a PhD Researcher working on shared responsibility within international criminal justice. Her research is positioned within the SHARES project.
Emma completed the LLM in Public International Law at the University of Leiden in August 2012, alongside which she took part in the Graduate School Talent Programme. Her BA degree in Law was obtained at the University of Cambridge, with an ERASMUS exchange year at the University of Utrecht.
During her studies Emma worked as an intern at the International Criminal Court and as a legal researcher at the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (Montreal, Canada).
