BACKGROUND
Since July 2011, Frank Tros is affiliated to the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced labour Studies (AIAS) at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
Frank Tros studied sociology at the University of Groningen. After his PhD at the Utrecht University - about Decentralisation of Dutch industrial relations - he was post-doctoral researcher for NWO, the Netherlands Organisation for scientific research, about issues of flexibility and security in European labour markets.
Frank Tros was involved in many research projects at the Hugo Sinzheimer Instituut (UvA) in the fields of labour law and industrial relations (1999-2011). At AIAS he coordinates the international comparative project on Intergenerational Bargaining and is involved in several other EU research projects (Youth for Union; Negotiating Wage Inequality)
Further, Frank Tros is involved in the supervision of theses in the Master Sociology in the track Comparative Organisation and Labour Studies (UvA-FMG: Graduate School of Social Sciences).
