Sonja van Well is a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE, section CREED) and Amsterdam Brain and Cognition (ABC), University of Amsterdam. Her research concerns behavioral decision making and its underlying brain mechanisms during global risk.
In March 2008 she obtained her PhD with a dissertation entitled "Individual differences in stress responses. Match effects in gender, ethnicity, and social support". Thereafter, she conducted research on the acquisition, extinction and reconsolidation of fear and neuroimaging.
