My scientific aspirations are grounded in my belief that we should close the gap between "what science knows and business does" (from Daniel Pink).  Too often is business reinventing the wheel and passing up great knowledge.

The formfactor of science, using conferences,papers and journals as vehicles of knowledge, results in limited awareness and adoption of scientific knowledge in business. On the other hand I believe (marketing) scientists are not rewarded or inspired by marketing the scientific results they found.

Being with one and a half foot in business and a little in science, I intend to explore what I can contribute to close the gap, even if it's a little.
