Evin Aktar received her bachelor degree in psychology in
2008 from the University of Bogazici, Istanbul. She completed
Research Master Psychology Programme at UvA in 2010 with a
major specialization in clinical psychology and a minor
specialization in psychonomics.
Her recent research at UvA focused on the effects of parental
anxiety disorders and of expressed parental anxiety on infant
fear learning. For the time being, she is working on early
learning and processing of basic positive and negative emotions
in infancy. The PhD project is part of the project "Models and
tests of early category formation: interactions between
cognitive, emotional, and neural mechanisms".
