Since my arrival at the University of Amsterdam in 2013 I have been teaching the following courses:
- Gedrag en Samenleving. Within this module I give an introduction in Sociology to first-year students of the BA Algemene Sociale Wetenschappen (Interdisciplinary Social Science). Language: Dutch.
- Visies op Moderniteit. I am the coordinator and main lecturer of this course that presents and discusses classical and contemporary social theory to first-year students of the BA Algemene Sociale Wetenschappen (Interdisciplinary Social Science). Language: Dutch.
- Care systems from a comparative perspective. I am coordinating en giving this elective course within the MA Sociology (track Social Problems, Social Policy) that deals with ongoing changes in the relationship between care policies and care practices. Language: English.
I supervise:
- BA theses within the program Global Health of Algemene Sociale Wetenschappen (Interdisciplinary Social Science); Language: Dutch.
- MA theses within the Sociology Master: Social Problems, Social Policy. Language: English.
In 2013 I have started co-supervising (together with Prof.dr. Evelien Tonkens) the PhD thesis of Melissa Sebrechts. The research looks at the experience of citizenship of young people with intellectual disabilities.
