Short CV
I have a background in interdisciplinary environmental science, technology and policy. Recently, I have used my interdisciplinary training to study and work in the area of international groundwater policy and governance. This as been accomplished with my Masters of Laws in Water Governance and Conflict Resolution and my current PhD research on the Law and Governance of National and Transboundary Aquifers. This research is conducted with the Amsterdam Institute of Social Science Research as well as the International Groundwater Resource Assessment Centre in Delft, Netherlands.
In addition to my studies, I have three years of experience working with state environmental protection policy in California. I have also gone extensive leadership training which has included and emphasis on facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution. I am a native English speaker, with intermediate languages skills in Spanish and breakthrough French.
Research Interests
My research include a range of topics relevant to groundwater resources management and governance, in particular legal aspects. This includes comparative international and national law as relevant to international/Transboundary groundwater, the emerging law of transboundary aquifers, legal pluralism and groundwater, and governance frameworks for shared groundwater.
