Rijkje Dekker is Senior Researcher of Mathematics Education at the Research Institute of Child Development and Education of the University of Amsterdam.
"My main research area is collaborative learning of mathematics. My focus is on the relation between interaction and mathematical level raising. Together with Marianne Elshout-Mohr I developed a Process Model for Interaction and Mathematical Level Raising to study this relation. In this study I collaborate with PhD students and colleagues from different countries."
From October 2012 till April 2013 Rijkje Dekker was Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Cologne (DE), on invitation.
