Dr. Saskia van der Oord  is a part-time assistant professor at the Department of Developmental Psychology of the University of Amsterdam. Further, she works as an assistant professor at Clinical Psychology of the University of Leuven. Her research is focused on childhood psychopathology. Area's of interest are diagnosis and treatment of disruptive behavior disorders, such as ADHD. Another research field is the treatment of PTSD in children. She is a licensed Behavior Therapist, and has a lot of clinical experience in (cognitive) behavioral treatment for children and adolescents with psychopathology such as ADHD. She received a grant (450.000 euro) of ZON-MW to investigate the effectiveness of a (cognitive-behavioral) training of planning and organisation for adolescents with ADHD.
