Biographical sketch
Mark Rotteveel obtained his PhD in 2003 at the Psychonomics Department of the University of Amsterdam . Subsequently he worked as an assistant professor at the Social Psychology department till now. He was also member of the editorial board of Emotion ( as consulting editor from 2007 till 2012) and Cognition & Emotion (as advisor from 2010 till 2012 and as an associated editor since 2015).
Research interests
Research mainly concerns affective information processing as a function of consciousness. Particularly, I am interested in affective information processing and its bi-directional relationship with action tendencies, attitudes, feelings, emotional expressions (e.g.,facial expressions, body posture) and information processing tendencies. Further I am interested in cross-over phenomena of mood and affect with classic cognitive information processing (e.g., recognition performance). In studying these processes specific latency measures, questionnaires as well as psychophysiologicalmeasures (e.g., fEMG, GSR, ERP, as fMRI) are being used.
