Research

My research interests are concentrated in three areas: the interrelation of politics and aesthetics, the critical potential of autonomous art, and the distinction between truth and fiction. My publications mainly focus on contemporary French philosophy, early German Romanticism and (post)modern literature. 

I co-edited a volume on Jean-Luc Nancy's long-term project on 'The Deconstruction of Christianity', Re-treating Religion. Deconstructing Christianity with Jean-Luc Nancy (New York: Fordham University Press 2012) and on contemporary French philosophy, De nieuwe Franse filosofie. Denkers en thema's voor de 21e eeuw (Amsterdam: Boom 2011), providing an overview of French theory since 1960s.
