Illustere School

For the broader public

The faculty bundles all of the activities it organises for interested groups outside of the University in the Illustere School; from urban walks to lectures, from philosophy for children to refresher courses for lecturers; and from an introduction to an Estruscan exposition to an afternoon discussion about the theme of the latest book week.

In addition to activities that are specially organised for external parties, the Illustere School also makes sure that interested parties can attend lectures together with the Faculty’s students. The Illustere School highlights the links that exist between humanities scholars and society, more specifically Amsterdam and its citizens.
