Van Gogh travel grant for Niek Pas
Dr Niek Pas has been awarded the Van Gogh travel grant for a joint research project "Sport as identity marker in colonial and postcolonial settings 19th and 20th century" with the Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis (dr. Yvan Gastaut).
With the awarded grant of €3.330, members from both groups can spend time at each other's institutes.
The Van Gogh Programme is a bilateral programme financed by France and the Netherlands. As of 2014 the programme is managed by Nuffic. The programme promotes exchanges between researchers within specific research projects and annually supports around 150 researchers from France and the Netherlands.
Van Gogh grant holders are excellent researchers with an outstanding tenure track and international exposure.
