Research at the Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science covers a wide field of research. The scientific disciplines of the Faculty are Biological Science and Biomedical Science, Earth Sciences (Physical Geography), Informatics and Logic, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Mathematics and Statistics.
Its research programme, in which multidisciplinary developments are stimulated alongside excellent monodisciplinary research, has placed the Faculty of Science in a leading international position.
To strengthen this position, the faculty strives to improve its global competitiveness. One of the ways to do so is by clustering research in so called research priorities and research clusters.
