First Forensic PhD symposium

1 October 2014

On Friday, 24 October 2014 the CLHC - Co van Ledden Hulsebosch Center - will host its first forensic PhD symposium. This one day event is organised to build an active network of PhD students who are fully or partly performing their research in the forensic domain.

Forensic science as an applied science is by definition very broad encompassing many scientific expertise areas, chemical, physical, digital, mathematical, biological and life sciences. Exciting new ideas and projects often emerge at the borders of these areas, hence we feel it is very important that forensic PhD students in Amsterdam are actively involved in the CLHC and are aware of the overall program (currently almost 30 PhD students are involved in forensic science in Amsterdam - AMC, FNWI, VU, HvA).

Present your work, extend your network!

The symposium will offer an excellent opportunity for the PhD students to present their work to a broader audience of UvA scientists, forensic experts from the NFI, forensic practitioners and professionals working in de criminal justice system.
