UvA and VU present degree certificates during joint ceremony
On Wednesday, 29 October, the first joint degree certificates will be presented to students of the Bachelor's programme in Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and VU University Amsterdam (VU).
In 2011, the UvA and VU joined forces with the aim of offering a broad Bachelor's programme in Chemistry. From February 2012, students from both universities pursued a joint curriculum of lectures, practical training and project groups.
Bundling the UvA and VU's expertise, the Bachelor's programme covers a wide spectrum of relevant chemistry disciplines. As a result, students can expect to gain a clear picture of the field's many options and diversity. Their collaboration also ensures a broad selection of courses and work placement opportunities, and students can also do projects and research at the research institutes of both universities. The Bachelor's in Chemistry thus offers a programme that fully responds to students' ambitions.
Students who have completed the programme will receive their Bachelor's degree certificates during a festive ceremony. The programme team, college directors of both faculties and UvA-VU joint dean Karen Maex will also attend.
