Project Office (PO)
The Projects Office is your first point of contact if you are considering seeking external funding for a research or teaching project. In addition to advice and information, we also offer various other forms of support. For any aspects outside our area of expertise, we can refer you to the relevant department at the UvA.
# Information and advice
- About programmes, grant criteria and deadlines for major funders such as the NWO, Bsik and EC, as well as grant opportunities at other external funding bodies;
- about internal and external rules and procedures;
- about project calculations.
# Support services
- Drawing up a project budget, financing schemes and quotations;
- filling out financial forms for project applications to the EC, NWO and other bodies;
- drawing up financial sections for reports to financing bodies;
- providing periodic expense overviews for your project;
- evaluation of available spending room and any necessary adjustment of budgets in consultation with you;
- monitoring project budgets and providing advance warning of possible under or overspending;
- advance notification regarding funder reporting deadlines;
- drawing up final accounts, where necessary including an auditor’s report;
- provision of information about your project, upon request;
- drawing up retrospective costing for projects.
