Information for job applicants

A university that performs well needs a diversely assembled workforce with a broad array of talents, competences and skills. This places a number of demands on the recruitment and selection of employees. Diversity also makes requirements in the way that staff treat one another, which is why the UvA cultivates a culture of respect and friendliness.

Unsolicited applications

We welcome targeted applications. If you still wish to send an unsolicited application, please keep in mind that the University of Amsterdam is a large organisation with many different departments and units. An unsolicited application to the University of Amsterdam, without mention of a contact person, department or unit will not be processed.

We encourage you to first inquire with the faculty or unit concerned whether it is advisable to send an unsolicited application and, if so, who you should send it to.
