Dr. Jonneke Bekkenkamp

Jonneke Bekkenkamp is halftime docent religie en literatuur. Zij verzorgt binnen het programma van religiestudies de modulen onderzoeksvaardigheden en religieuze vocabularia. Ook begeleidt zij de werkgroepen rond het vak inleiding religiestudies.

Onderzoek

Haar onderzoek betreft de taal waarin in een gesecualiseerde cultuur mensen religieuze ervaringen en levensbeschouwelijke zaken uitdrukken. Dit onderzoek past binnen het door haar (met Marcel Sarot en Jan Willem van Henten) in opdracht van NOSTER opgestelde onderzoeksprogramma Vocabularies relating to Views of Life and Religion: Tenakh, Bible and Koran in the 21st Century. (Internationaal project van NOSTER, 2001- 2005)

Eerder was zij betrokken bij de opzet en coördinatie van twee andere onderzoeksprogramma's: * Lichamelijkheid, religie en gender. Landelijk Onderzoeksprogramma Vrouwenstudies Theologie en Religiewetenschap, 1997-2001 (met Maaike de Haardt) * Missing Links. Arts, Religion and Reality. Onderzoeksprogramma binnen de Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis, 1996-2000 (met Wiljo Doeleman)

Proefschrift

In 1993 promoveerde zij (cum laude) op het grensvlak van theologie, literatuurwetenschap en filosofie. Na een korte loopbaan als predikante is ze jarenlang verbonden geweest aan verschillende universiteiten, de RUU, de RUG, de KUN en dan nu de UvA.

Naast haar werkzaamheden voor de UvA is zij directeur van Zin & Zaken, adviesbureau voor visiemanagement. Zij ontwerpt projecten op het gebied van identiteit, inspiratie en motivatie voor bedrijven en organisaties.
