Research interests

Argumentation theory (burden of proof, criticisms of inconsistency, argument schemes) and political discourse (political accountability: political interviews, parliamentary committees of investigation)

Short description of research interests

In her current research, Andone examines probative obligations in practices of political accountability in the European Union. First, she develops the instruments necessary for a systematic analysis and evaluation of the way in which politicians deal with their probative obligations. Second, she carries out various detailed empirical studies of the discussions taking place in accountability practices in which the proposed instruments are applied.
