Study

I've studied at the University of Amsterdam; a combination of Social Sciences Informatics and Psychonomics, with several courses at the departments of Fonetics and Medical Informatics. I graduated in the subdepartment of Brain & Cognition of the department of Psychology.

Work

I've worked at the University of Amsterdam since 1990. I worked at several ICT departments, mainly supporting the scientific staff using Apple Macintosh computers. I started this in 1990 in a medium sized network of Mac Plus computers (no hard drives!), and a big bunch of Mac servers at the Faculty of Psychology. During the years since, I got to support more and more departments, and my job changed accordingly though always including Macs, until unfortunately support for Macs at the university was brought back to a minimum for budgetary reasons.
