What humanity can learn from neutron stars

01Mar2018 16:00

Inaugural lecture

In his inaugural lecture Rudy Wijnands compares human behaviour to that of the particles in the core of a neutron star. Like these particles, people generally have a distorted view of what is normal and allow themselves to be pressured into conforming to this idea. Wijnands' aim is to show how this metaphor can help free us from this imaginary pressure.
