Diagnosis and treatment of early esophageal neoplasia

Medicine

PhD defence ceremony

Over the past twenty years there have been major advances in the detection and treatment of early esophageal cancer. Neoplasia is identified at an earlier stage, allowing less invasive endoscopic treatment instead of surgical esophageal neoplasia. Dirk Schölvinck studies developments in the diagnostic approach to, and treatment of, early esophageal neoplasia.
