Reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) is a new method for the diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma (a form of skin cancer). Daniel Kadouch evaluated the effectiveness of a so-called 'one-stop shop' (where diagnosis and treatment take place on the same day as the initial outpatient consultation) using RCM as a diagnostic tool.
