Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. GERD is associated with a large range of symptoms, which can be split into the typical and atypical reflux symptoms. Thomas Herregods aims to address some of the unanswered questions in the pathophysiology and diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease, also including reflux-associated chronic cough, non-cardiac chest pain and dysphagia.
