Froukje van Hoeij studies the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of esophageal dysfunction, which includes a number of different conditions. The aim is to improve diagnostic and treatment strategies for gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia and esophago-gastric junction outflow obstruction.
