Floral scent plays a major role in the pollination process in the Petunia genus. the petals of fragrant petunias emit floral volatiles, which function as signals attracting targeted pollinators. Nur Fariza M. Shaipulah carries out research into the biosynthesis of floral volatiles and the interaction with other metabolic pathways.
