PhD defence ceremony

The information we come into contact with and on which our beliefs are based, is often chaotic, disordered and even contradictory. At the same time, however, our beliefs are expected to be consistent. Chenwei Shi investigates if it is possible for us to achive and maintain consistency in our belief. And, if so, how do we manage to extract consistent belief from inconsistent information.
