Prof. N.R. Anderson has been appointed professor of Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Economics and Econometrics.

Prof. N.R. Anderson (b. 1961) has been appointed professor of Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Economics and Econometrics of the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA).

In his research projects, Neil Anderson focuses among other things on innovation and creativity at work, decision-making of interviewer and applicant during assessments, and the structure of psychometrical properties of personality questionnaires that are related to the so-called Five Factor Model (the framework of the theory of personality, which is based on five basic features of human behaviour to which all recognizable qualities and behavioural characteristics can be reduced).

Anderson worked as professor at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the UvA since 2002. He was professor of Occupational Psychology at the Goldsmiths College of University of London from 1997 till 2002. Anderson is visiting professor at the University of Surrey (UK) and the School of Management of the Hangzhou University (China), and is furthermore fellow at the British Psychological Society, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and the American Psychological Association.
