Dr P. Baas (1958) has been appointed professor by special appointment of Thoracic Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Amsterdam (AMC-UvA). The chair was designated on behalf of the Netherlands Cancer Institute-Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL).

Paul Baas focuses his attention as a tutor and head of the NKI-AVL’s Department of Thoracic Oncology on the development of new therapies and the treatment of lung cancer and malignant mesothelioma.
