Study Programme

The full training programme includes:

• a Bachelor’s degree certificate in Humanities or Science, possibly including the Minor in Conservation and Restoration (offered in Dutch only) (30 ECTS credits);
• a two-year Master's programme in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in one of the specialisations, including a substantial element of practical training, or a two-year Master's programme in Technical Art History; 
• a two-year Post-Master programme in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in one of the conservation specialisations, in which the trainee conservator works full-time in a conservation studio and completes at least one work placement.

Upon completing the full seven-year programme, you will be nationally and internationally qualified as a conservator in your chosen specialisation. This programme complies with the international standard that is required for conservators according to the European Network for Conservation and Restoration Education (ENCoRE).
