The Amsterdam Argumentation Chronicle
The Amsterdam Argumentation Chronicle is a semi-annual newsletter published by the department of Speech Communication, Argumentation Theory and Rhetoric of the University of Amsterdam. Its aim is to keep both students and alumni of the master programme Discourse and Argumentation Studies Amsterdam (DASA), the research master programme Rhetoric, Argumentation and Philosophy (RAP), and the PhD programme Argumentation in Discourse (AD) informed about the various academic and educational activities that take place in their (former) department. It includes information on the latest publications by members of the department as well as matters pertaining to research advancements and student and alumni activities.

Peter died on February 14th, 2008, at the age of 51. With this special issue of the Amsterdam Argumentation Chronicle we would like to commemorate Peter Houtlosser as we all knew him: a great person and a great argumentation scholar.
