Professor Haslanger was the 2015 Spinoza Chair at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities, at the University of Amsterdam. In her two Spinoza Lectures Professor Haslanger engages with the topic of critical theory and ideology.

Sally Haslanger

Sally Haslanger is Ford Professor of Philosophy and Women's and Gender Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to coming to Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998, Haslanger taught at the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, and the University of California-Irvine.

The Spinoza Chair was established in 1995 by the then Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Amsterdam. Since 1996 publishing house Van Gorcum publishes the Spinoza Lectures, which are given by high-profile thinkers of our time.
