This event will present a keynote by David Miller of Oxford University and bring together a small group of European scholars working on questions relating to the ethics of immigration, such as the ethics of denationalization, family reunion, dual voting, and temporary workers.

  • December 5, 09:00-17:00: workshop with several speakers from Europe.The workshop will be interesting and accessible to students, political scientists, political theorists and moral philosophers. 

About David Miller 

David Miller is Professor of Political Theory at the Nuffield College of the University of Oxford.

Distinctive about his work is its use of evidence from the social sciences to inform debates in political philosophy. His longest standing interest is in the idea of justice, originally social justice but now also global justice. Miller has wide interests in the field of political theory. His research is now focused on issues in contemporary political theory and philosophy. These include: theories of justice and equality; democratic theory; the concepts of nationality and citizenship; multiculturalism and immigration; and global justice.
