Democracy in Greece, from the cradle to the grave?
ACCESS EUROPE special lecture, co-organised by the Jean Monnet Chair in European and Transnational Governance
Tom de Bruijn, member of the Dutch State Council and Chair of the Advisory Board of ACCESS EUROPE, will give a public lecture on his experiences as special advisor to the Task Force for Greece of the European Commission.
The crisis, the role of the Troika and the Task Force, and their effects on democracy in Greece, are among the topics that will be discussed. After his lecture there will be extensive room for discussion with the audience.
About Tom de Bruijn
Tom de Bruijn studied political science at the Graduate Institute of International Relations in Geneva (1968-1973) and War Studies at Kings College of the University of London (1973-1974). He holds a law degree from the University of Utrecht (1977). From 2003-2011 De Bruijn was Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the European Union.
