Jens Weidmann and Klaas Knot on the financial future of Europe
Jens Weidmann, president of the Deutsche Bundesbank, is visiting Amsterdam at the invitation of the Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Weidmann will give a keynote on his views of the evolution of the Eurozone crisis:
- Where do we stand after the actions that have been taken?
- What is the position of the Deutsche Bundesbank towards the policies of the European Central Bank?
- What does the future hold?
His Dutch colleague Klaas Knot of De Nederlandsche Bank will respond to the keynote, followed by a short discussion between them. There will be sufficient room for questions from the audience.

Jens Weidmann and Klaas Knot are respectively president of the Deutsche Bundesbank and the De Nederlandsche Bank since 2011. Both are ex officio member of the Governing Council and the General Council of the European Central Bank, member of the Financial Stability Board and governor of the Internaonal Monetary Fund.
