The First European Presidential Debate

ACCESS EUROPE and Machiavelli organise the Amsterdam live-stream of the first debate of the candidates for the presidency of the European Commission who will battle out key issues on the future of Europe. The debate will be followed by a discussion with Ben Crum (VU), Joop Hazenberg (EU Watch), Katjana Gattermann (UvA), and Annemarie Walter (VU).

The candidates for the presidency of the European Commission; Martin Schulz (Party of European Socialists), Guy Verhofstadt (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party) Ska Keller (European Green Party) and Jean-Claude Juncker (European People’s Party),  will answer questions from thousands of young people all over Europe. The candidates will discuss key issues such as unemployment, education and young people’s engagement in politics. This debate takes place in Maastricht, the live-stream will be organised in Amsterdam.
