Territory, Migration and the Evolution of the International System

Book launch, Darshan Vigneswaran

27Nov2014 17:30 - 19:30

Exhibition

Darshan will deliver an audio-visual reprise of the book’s central idea: that ‘mental maps' shape the way that societies throughout history have determined who belongs where. This promises to be an intimate and interactive exploration of political theory.

An interdisciplinary panel of experts - Marieke de Goede (Political Science), Christian Bröer (Sociology) and Virginie Mamadouh (Human Geography) - will then discuss the book’s central themes.

We are hoping for a lively event that will bring together scholars from across the Social Sciences and Humanities at the UvA. So, we would like to invite you to ‘De Brug’ an airy, indoor plaza located at the heart of the new Roeterseiland campus. Celebratory drinks and light refreshments will be served following the event.
