Up to the mainstream? Radical right parties in Western Europe, 2000-2013
The radical right party family has gone through various transitions during the past three decades. The adaptation of an anti-immigration master-frame and electoral successes opened up an escape from the political margins in the 1990s.
After the turn of the century, various radical right parties have entered government as full blown coalition partners or as supporting parties of minority governments. This seminar aims to assess whether and under what conditions radical right parties have moved to the mainstream.
