On Thursday 30 August from 15:00 to 17:00h, the Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS) officially welcomes the new students starting a Dutch or English language Master's programme as of September 2012.
On Thursday 30 August from 15:00 to 17:00h, the Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS) officially welcomes the new students starting a Dutch or English language Master's programme as of September 2012.
The ceremony will be opened by an official word of welcome of Prof. Dr Mark Rutgers, director of the GSSS, followed by an academic opening speech by Prof. Dr Jan Willem Duyvendak, professor in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam.
The ceremony will take place in the Auditorium (Aula) at Singel 411 and will be followed by drinks in the adjacent Tetterode Bibliotheek. All new students are cordially invited to attend!
This event is preceded by (obligatory) practical orientation meetings per Master's programme. For the specific time and location of the practical orientation meeting of your master’s programme, please visit your programme website at www.student.uva.nl.
