Marieke de Goede won this award for her book 'Speculative Security: The Politics of Pursuing Terrorist Monies' (University of Minnesota Press, 2012).
This award was issued during the annual meeting of the International Studies Association in San Francisco in April. The International Political Sociology Section (IPS) of the International Studies Association institutes a yearly award for "best book" in the field of international political sociology.
