Symposium on Experimentalist Governance
The journal Regulation and Governance has published a symposium on Jonathan Zeitlin's work with Charles Sabel on Experimentalist Governance in the EU.
The symposium (Vol. 6, no. 3, September 2012, pp. 371-426) is guest edited by Tanja Boerzel (Free University Berlin) and Sandra Eckert (Universities of Mannheim/Osnabrueck) and includes contributions by Boerzel, Amy Verdun (Victoria University, Canada), John Erik Fossum (ARENA, University of Oslo), and Mattias Kumm (NYU Law School), followed by a rejoinder by Sabel and Zeitlin (attached).
Among the main issues discussed in the symposium are the relationship of experimentalism to hierarchical governance, democratic representation, constitutionalism, and the alleged structural imbalance of the EU. There will be a joint PETGOV-Challenges seminar to discuss the symposium on February 14, 2013.
