Marcel Hanegraaff is a post-doctoral researcher in political science at the University of Amsterdam. His dissertation (defended April 2014) focused on explaining the development transnational interest group communities, as well as the strategic action by interest groups in the context of global governance. He researches the politics of interest representation in a transnational and EU context, as well as on the functioning of international organizations in the fields of climate change and global trade. His work has appeared in World Trade Review (2011), and is scheduled for 2015 publication in Comparative Political StudiesGlobal Environmental Politics, and Global Governance
