Research/Case Studies
PMP is a multidisciplinary program. We work with researchers both from the UvA in the fields of politics, law, pscychology and anthropology as well as with researchers from the VU, UvT and international institutions.
Case research is at the core of the PMP research program. Case studies help us to get a better understanding of public conflicts and conflict resolution in public domain. Case material is also used as the bases for our training. We work with student interns at case research. This way, students learn about practice in a more direct way.
A large component of our research work is contracted. We provide evaluative studies, recommendations but also broader overview of the development of public mediation.
Onderzoek/Case studies
PMP is een multidisciplinair programma. We werken met onderzoekers uit binnen- en buitenland op het gebied van beleid en bestuur; conflict studies, bestuursrecht; psychologie.
Het PMP programma legt zich vooral op toe op case research. Deze cases worden gebruikt voor brede analyses maar dienen op zichzelf ook als lesmateriaal. Bij het case research worden studenten ingezet; op deze manier leren studenten meer over de directe praktijk en kunnen cases breed onderzocht worden.
In opdracht van overheden, NGO’s of andere partijen doen we evaluatief onderzoek.
