Research interests

Research interests concern the development and evaluation of psychosocial interventions for children and youth with internalizing and externalizing problems. In his research efforts, treatment-outcome studies are designed from a developmental perspective and embedded in experimental psychopathology. Pier Prins is involved in treatment-outcome studies with aggressive children and children with ADHD; also, he is involved in a multicenter study on the mechanisms of change in cognitive behavior therapy for children with anxiety disorders. Furthermore, together with the Task Force ADHD & Computer, he has developed a training program with game-elements  ( 'Braingame Brian' ) for children with Executive Function problems, such as children with ADHD and ASS. This program is currently being evaluated in several clinical studies.
