In 2005, Milena Feldkamp graduated as a Cultural Psychologist from the Radboud University of Nijmegen. For her thesis on intercultural relations, she conducted research in New Delhi, India. Between 2005 and 2010, she worked as a lecturer at the Radboud University in various teaching positions. She left the University of Nijmegen for an extensive travel through South-America and joined the Department of Social Psychology of the University of Amsterdam in 2011. Milena Feldkamp is interested in the role of culture in psychological functioning and teaches various courses related to this (eg The Psychology of Migration, Cultural Psychology). Additionally, she conducts research on cross-cultural differences in affective communication and is curious to find out to what extent differences affect intercultural relations.

Research interest

 

My main interest and passion are cross-cultural differences in psychological functioning and their implications for intercultural relations. I study cross-cultural differences in affective communication styles and their effects on intercultural communication.
